My solution can help you to speed up PC, to make the system run faster and more stable,
    1. You should clean up startup
    2. Check for disk errors, the HDD will be checked the next time the computer is started. This can take a 10-20 minutes.
    3. Delete all cookies and temporary internet files cached on your computer. (Go to Internet Explorer — Tools) . Deleting temporary internet files could take some time, if you do not clear your cache regularly. Also delete all history files.
    4. Empty your recycle bin regularly . Also delete unused icons and shortcuts from your taskbar , desktop and other places.
5.There is another method. You only need to download system cleaner software to resolve the problems about your PC. It cleans all things that you want, increases your PC speed, saves more disk space, and helps you to the trouble about hardware upgrade. You can click the website http://computer-optimize.com/ to find the satisfied software
I wish my solution could help you.

have you scandisk or defrag also and rerun spyware program
also you could take a look at your startup programs… take a look at the bottom of your page after computer starts how many programs do you have running there…i have only one and thats my virus protection

Run scandisk, clean up your unwanted files, Install a Antivirus Application (preferably Symantec Internet Security with License version). One more thing, dont download any utilities from the site, which decreases the system performance.
